About the Foundation

The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated nonindustrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimum characteristics of human diets. Dr. Price's research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.

The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies. Specific goals include establishment of universal access to clean, certified raw milk and a ban on the use of soy formula for infants.

About the Eugene Chapter

The Eugene Oregon chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation is composed of people who share a common interest in nutrient dense food and the nutritional principals of the Weston A. Price Foundation, as outlined in the Wise Traditions Journal, and the book Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. We began holding regular monthly meetings in fall of 2004 and have been steadily growing ever since. We meet to share our knowledge and experiences and to discuss different topics each month.

The Eugene Chapter goals include:

  • Connecting local people with local area farmers producing such foods as raw milk, butter and cream, grass-fed beef and lamb, and pastured poultry and eggs.
  • Introducing people to the teachings of Dr. Weston A. Price, DDS, by conducting meetings, holding informational events and DVD showings.
  • Providing cooking classes to help people learn to easily prepare traditional foods for everyday use in their daily lives.

The Eugene Chapter has many ways you can become involved. Please see the Local Events page or the Newsletter for more information about upcoming events.
